How we use your information
When you submit this form, we use the information you provide to assess and monitor
adverse events involving veterinary medicines. We do this as part of our official
role to protect animal health, public health and medicines safety. The lawful basis
for processing your personal data is that it is necessary for us to carry out a task
in the public interest and under our legal powers. We will only use your information
for regulatory and safety purposes and will handle it in line with data protection

All reports of adverse events (problems that occur following administration of a product,
such as side effects or products not working as expected) submitted to the VMD for
authorised veterinary medicinal products are shared with the Marketing Authorisation
Holder (pharmaceutical company). Reports involving unauthorised veterinary medicinal
products may be shared with organisations such as the Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory
Agency or pharmaceutical companies responsible for human medicines. All reports are
anonymised prior to sending.
